Spectators were able to watch Europe’s best cyclists weave their way through the streets of Glasgow as part of the Cycling Road European Championships at Glasgow 2018, which started and finished at Glasgow Green.

The Time Trial took place through the city, starting at the landmark Riverside Museum building and heading out into the stunning Scottish countryside before arriving back at Glasgow Green.

Former UEC President and now UCI President David Lappartient said: "One of the great strengths of the multisport European Championships is that it aims to keep costs low for host cities by using existing facilities, and that is certainly the case for cycling in Glasgow. Four European Cycling Championships staged in the city – for the first time ever in cycling."
