As the Open Water Swimming venue for Glasgow 2018, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park showcased exciting sporting action amongst some of the most stunning scenery in the whole of Scotland. All individual events used a 2.5km lap course, the team event used a 1.25km lap course; with the start, lap turn and finish all located within Drumkinnon Bay – creating a natural stage for spectators and broadcasters. A 100m straight led athletes into the finish, allowing fans the chance to witness the best Open Water swimmers in Europe competing right up until the very end.
