CT: CARLIN (GBR) - 'My legs just were not there today'
GLASGOW - Comments from Jack CARLIN (GBR) after finishing fourth in the men's sprint at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Emirates Arena, on Monday.
Jack CARLIN (GBR)
On losing his best-of-three semifinal with Stefan BOTTICHER (GER), which left him in the bronze medal race against Harrie LAVREYSEN (NED):
"As expected, it was going to be tough throughout the day. The first one (race) didn't go my way, it was a small error. There was a bit of argy-bargy in the second one (but) my legs just were not there today and they didn't help me along, sadly."
On the support of the home crowd:
"I really enjoyed it in front of the home crowd, it's just a shame I couldn't bring one home for them. They couldn't be any more supportive, they've been fantastic for me."
On Tuesday's keirin event:
"I know the speed's there if I rest up well. We will see what tomorrow holds and if it's anything like today with the crowds, then it will be exciting."
