CT: KENNY (GBR) - 'I'm the one that's dying out there so it's really good to have the crowd try and carry you home'
GLASGOW - Comments from track cyclist Jason KENNY (GBR) after his team were eliminated at the first-round stage from the men's team sprint at Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Emirates Arena, on Friday.
Jason KENNY (GBR)
On the race as a whole:
"We got it wrong a little bit. Generally I'm happy with where we're at and obviously we've got a strong team. Generally very happy, just a little bit unlucky."
On his team's poor start:
"I had a little bit of a slip on the wheel, and it collected (hit) a pad at 10 metres. It wasn't the prettiest start, but that's just team sprint."
On the noise from the home crowd:
"It's a big thing for me in my events particularly, because you can hear it all going on. Obviously I finish last so I don't know how we've got on until I cross the finish line. I'm the one that's dying out there so it's really good to have the crowd try and carry you home. It makes a big difference."
