GLASGOW - Comments from track cyclist Laura KENNY (GBR) after finishing fourth with Katie ARCHIBALD (GBR) in the women's madison at Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Emirates Arena on Tuesday.
Laura KENNY (GBR)
On the British pair's madison performance:
"We made a lot of mistakes, we were on the back foot from the word go. Once we let that group go, we were never going to get back. Our positioning in some of the sprints was just horrendous, the changes were horrendous - we were just getting caught out.
"We tend to be better when the pace is strung out because we've got the speed to pick up but it was bunched up and you had to really work on the tactics and the positioning and I guess we were not doing that. It's promising in a way but we have got stuff to work on still, hopefully next time we'll be on the podium."
