Kirsten WILD (NED) - gold
On winning another gold medal, to add to the 10km scratch race she won on Friday 3 August, four previous European Championships golds and four world championships victories:
"It feels good is the short answer."
On being pushed all the way by silver medallist Katie ARCHIBALD (GBR):
"I know Katie is really, really strong and I had to give everything to beat her. She is just a really strong competitor and I think it was a hard and tight race.
"I could feel when Katie was coming as the crowd was supporting her and I thought, 'Oh oh'.
"She was the crowd favourite. Every time she was coming close to the line the whole crowd was going crazy (so) I knew she was really fast."
On the new format for the European Championships:
"It feels like a mini-Olympics, it's a really nice atmosphere in Glasgow.
"It's a great event. You can feel that the whole city breathes the sports."
