DV: TOULSON (GBR) - 'I will just stick to my routine - just dive'
EDINBURGH - Comments from Lois TOULSON (GBR) after finishing fifth in the women's 10m platform at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
Lois TOULSON (GBR)
On coming into the event as the defending champion and finishing outside the medals:
"I am obviously disappointed with my performance but I still think there are positives to take away - there were some improvements from the premliminaries but there are more to make as well. It's just a shame that it's the end of the season and I couldn't finish on a high, but that's how it goes."
On her strategy for the 10m platform:
"I was sticking to my normal routine, as I do in every competition. I was hoping that would get me through but I did struggle a bit this morning and this afternoon."
On her plans for the rest of the week and after the end of this competition:
"I've got the mixed synchro 10m platform on Saturday with my team-mate Matthew LEE and that's it for this season. Then I'll be back training for next year."
On competing in the mixed synchro 10m platform on Saturday:
"I would love a medal and we're definitely capable, so fingers crossed."
On what she has learnt from the women's 10m platform which she will take forward to Saturday:
"I will stick to my routine - just dive - I know how to do it. I just need to do it in the competition."
