GLASGOW - Comments from Jasmin MADER (AUT) after the second subdivision of the women's gymnastics qualifying competition at The SSE Hydro on Thursday.
Jasmin MADER (AUT)
On how the competition went for her team:
"It was a competition with ups and downs. We had a bad result on vault, as our teammate Marlies MAENNERSDORFER sat down her vault and injured herself. We then tried to focus on our next routines and I think we did that quite good after the injury to Marlies. But it was a tough competition."
On being the next gymnast to vault after seeing her team-mate injured:
"I do this vault for such a long time now, so I know what to do and I knew I was capable of landing it. The worst thing was that Marlies got hurt."
On having to do balance beam [the event MAENNERSDORFER was supposed to compete on]:
"That was crazy. I didn't do the warm-ups, but my beam routine is not that difficult. So I can do it without the warm-up. It was OK and I just did it for the team."
