GO: ENOCH (GBR) - 'I really like the Jack Nicklaus design'

GLASGOW - Comments from Rhys ENOCH (GBR) after practice for the golf team event at the Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course on Tuesday.

On representing Great Britain:

"It's fantastic to represent your country - everyone comes together and it's cool to be a part of a Great Britain team."

On playing golf in Scotland:

"I've played a fair bit in Scotland and there is always an awesome welcome and first-class treatment.

"It's nice to play a championship course because you play proper golf on a proper golf course. This course has a long history and I really like the Jack Nicklaus design."

On playing in the European Championships:

"I hadn't thought about the meaning of this event until today when I got here. It is really a big event and I want it to be a fun and inspiring experience."

On what he wants to achieve at the European Championships:

"I’d like to take a gold medal away from this event but there is competition, especially from the GB 1 team (Lee Slattery and Callum Shinkwin). They're as big a challenge as anyone."
