GO: HAFTHORSSON, BOASSON (ISL)- ' I'll change my wet socks, then try and win another gold medal'
GLASGOW - Comments from Birgir HAFTHORSSON and Axel BOASSON (ISL) after winning their semifinal of the men's team event 2&1 against Santiago Tarrio BEN and David BORTA (ESP) at the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles on Sunday.
Birgir HAFTHORSSON (ISL)
On the wet and cold conditions:
"It probably played into our hands a little bit, we are used to these conditions. We played very well on the first nine, but a little bit too easy, some little mistakes afterwards."
On what they do now as they prepare for the final and a possible second gold medal (having won the mixed team event):
"A good lunch and change socks. Very wet socks, soaking. Change shoes, too. The party must go on. We try for another gold medal."
Axel BOASSON (ISL)
On their fifth successive victory (in the team and mixed events):
"This was a totally different scenario. The course was really tough today."
On the prospect of a second gold medal:
"As Birgir (HAFTHORSSON) says, the party goes on. We have a good break then we are back at it. It could be some day, but it's one shot at a time."
