GLASGOW - Comments from Celine HERBIN (FRA) and Astrid VAYSON DE PRADENNE (FRA) after they beat Olivia COWAN (GER) and Karolin LAMPERT (GER) 4&3 in their group A match at the Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course on Wednesday.


On winning the match:

"I am very happy, especially with Celine by my side. She is a strong cookie and we had a strong start and got stronger and stronger."

On playing fellow-French players Justine DREHER and Manon MOLLE in their next match:

"We’ll keep playing the same way. We play France next but we will play as if they are another country. We have to forget that it's France and focus on our own game."

On playing the Gleneagles course:

"Yesterday we came across two curious deer on the fairway.  We are really enjoying this."

On playing the Gleneagles course:

"The course is a real pleasure to play because the design is nice and the quality is perfect.  The greens are pure."

On representing France:

"I have a similar background (to Astrid). It was really exciting to get the uniforms and try them on."
