AT: SCHAFER (GER) - bronze in heptathlon
BERLIN - Comments from heptathlete Carolin SCHAFER (GER) after taking the bronze medal at the Olympic Stadium on Friday.

On her message to the home crowd:
"Thank you, Berlin. Emotionally there is nothing higher than to medal at this home championships in this great stadium in Berlin. It was breathtaking. I will not forget this my whole life.
"It is a great feeling to medal in my home country in this wonderful stadium. There was a lot of pressure. People expected me to medal and I did myself, too."
On her approach to the final event, ther 800m:
"My bronze medal was quite safe before the 800m, so the 800m were quite easy. I was not in the shape like last year. This year I had quite some physical issues. There have been so many ups and downs. A lot of work went into this bronze medal."
