SW: SCOTT, PYLE (GBR): gold in men's 4x100m medley relay
GLASGOW - Comments from Duncan SCOTT and Nicholas PYLE after Great Britain won the men's 4x100m medley relay at Tollcross International Swimming Centre on Thursday.
Duncan SCOTT (GBR) - gold
On the team's performance:
"The team swum really well and it's a great way to end the week. There is definitely more to come. From Team GB especially, it has been phenomenal this week. This last night we have won loads of medals. Every day we've been on the medal train so it's been amazing to be part of.
"It’s pretty special. Standing in a call room with PEATY (Adam PEATY) and Jimmy (James GUY) it definitely gives confidence to the team - myself and Nick (PYLE).
"PEATY is someone that's so far in front of the rest of the field you have to go in there with confidence. You're standing with them and you're like 'right we've definitely got a great shot here'. It's crucial, but so is every leg of the team isn't it - so it was very good from everyone."
Nick PYLE (GBR) - gold
On how it felt to be selected for the team:
"I was really happy, and to follow on from such a good backstroke legacy in this country from Liam [TANCOCK, GBR] and Chris [WALKER-HEBBORN, GBR] is even better and hopefully next year I can come back and improve again."
