Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games venue Scotstoun Sports Campus will once again host a world-class sporting spectacle when it welcomes the Synchronised Swimming events at Glasgow 2018. Athletes will compete in a purpose-built, temporary competition pool located in the campus tennis centre, which will be watched by a passionate Glasgow audience on three sides. This intimate amphitheatre promises to put on a special show for competitors and fans alike.
Originally referred to as water ballet, synchronised swimming has four disciplines. Athletes perform an artistic routine in a swimming pool to music and are judged on the artistry, execution and difficulty of their performance.
